Job description
What You’ll Do:
Provide customer service to visitors, employees, and members of the public while carrying out site-specific screening procedures, policies, and emergency response activities at a government location.
Screen individuals and their belongings using approved screening equipment and procedures, identifying prohibited items and escalating concerns in accordance with established protocols.
Verify access credentials, direct visitors to appropriate entry points, and maintain orderly flow through screening areas.
Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly notifying appropriate personnel and public-service agencies when needed.
Complete required logs, screening records, and incident reports accurately while maintaining confidentiality of sensitive information.
Minimum Requirements:
A valid driver’s license is required in the state where the job is located.
Possess 3+ years of combined corrections, law enforcement, military, or 7 years of security-related experience or a college degree.
Provide proof of a high school diploma or GED.
Be at least 21 years of age.
Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
Guard card is required.
Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
