Job description
Key Responsibilities (may include but not limited to):
• Perform routine and emergency maintenance on pumps, motors, valves, instrumentation, and mechanical systems throughout the plant
• Troubleshoot and repair process equipment with minimal downtime
• Maintain and inspect critical systems, including those involved with handling liquid chlorine, ferrous chloride, and ferric chloride
• Perform preventative maintenance tasks
• Assist with equipment installations, piping modifications, and shutdown/start-up activities as assigned
• Perform general facility maintenance tasks, including building repairs, lighting, plumbing, and grounds upkeep to ensure a safe and functional work environment
• Uphold the fundamentals of the Nicholson Nine and Responsible Care Guiding principles. Environmental, Health, Safety and Security are a responsibility of every PVS employee
Physical requirements needed:
• Ability to lift 50 pounds with ease
• Ability to work at elevated heights
Required Education/Training/Equivalent Experience:
• Valid driver’s license – required
• PIT license – experience preferred
• Manlift license – experience preferred
• 0 – 5 years of building/equipment maintenance related experience
• High School Diploma
• Familiar with problem solving techniques
• Willing to learn
• Positive attitude
• Good communication skills
• Ability to be on call
OJT (Required within the initial employment period-varies per position and experience):
• Knowledgeable of all facility departments and specific functions
• Knowledgeable of building emergency and security procedures
