About the Role
The Pricing Specialist plays a pivotal role in Payliance’s sales process, serving as the analytical and strategic bridge between prospective clients and our payment solutions portfolio. You will evaluate client card processing statements, identify cost-saving opportunities, and translate data into compelling, tailored pricing proposals that showcase the value of Payliance programs.
Working closely with the sales team, you will help drive revenue growth by ensuring prospects receive accurate, competitive, and well-positioned pricing recommendations — from first contact through close.
What You’ll Do
Client Statement Review & Analysis
· Analyze prospective clients’ existing merchant processing statements to assess current costs, effective rates, and interchange utilization.
· Identify pricing inefficiencies, opportunities, and program misalignments that Payliance can address.
· Produce clear, data-driven summaries that quantify potential savings and support the sales conversation.
Program Recommendation
· Evaluate client business profiles, transaction volumes, and industry segments to determine the optimal Payliance program fit.
· Stay current on Payliance’s full product and program portfolio to match client needs with the most appropriate and profitable solutions.
· Consult with sales leadership and product teams to validate recommendations for complex or high-volume accounts.
Pricing Proposal Development
· Partner with sellers to build customized, accurate pricing proposals tailored to each prospect.
· Develop compelling proposal narratives that clearly articulate value, savings, and the rationale behind program recommendations.
· Maintain pricing templates, tools, and calculators, ensuring they reflect current rates, fee structures, and competitive positioning.
· Coordinate internal approvals for non-standard or exception pricing as needed.
Sales Support & Delivery
· Support sellers during client-facing conversations, presentations, and proposal delivery as a subject-matter expert on pricing and program structure.
· Prepare and format final proposals for client delivery, ensuring accuracy, professional presentation, and compliance with Payliance standards.
· Respond promptly to ad hoc pricing requests, revisions, and competitive re-quotes from the sales team.
· Track proposal outcomes and conversion data to refine pricing strategies and identify trends.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
· Partner with Operations and Finance to ensure proposed pricing is feasible and aligned with margin requirements.
· Provide feedback to product and leadership teams on competitive pricing intelligence gathered during the sales process.
· Assist in onboarding new sales team members on pricing tools, methodologies, and Payliance program structures.
