Responsibilities:
Collaborate with the creative and digital teams to design engaging digital advertising assets for political campaigns, advocacy organizations, and nonprofit clients.
Design static, animated GIF, and HTML5 banner ads that meet industry specifications and platform requirements.
Build, edit, and optimize landing pages using Leadpages (we will provide training), maintaining visual consistency and a strong, conversion-focused design.
Update and maintain WordPress websites, including page layouts, content updates, graphics, and basic troubleshooting.
Create digital assets for websites, email campaigns, social media, and online advertising.
Ensure that all projects are delivered on time and meet the highest quality standards.
Participate in daily team meetings and project briefings.
Keep up to date with the latest design trends and techniques.
You:
Exceptional attention to detail.
Ability to work quickly under tight deadlines. Political timelines are very short, so we have to respond to client needs as quickly as possible.
Able to work remotely—we communicate via Gmail, Asana, Slack, Harvest, and Zoom.
Willingness to work weird hours and tough schedules, primarily around Election and Primary Week(s). After our busy periods, every team member is expected to take significant time off to reset.
Independent worker, but knows when to get feedback or help when running into issues. You aren’t afraid of constructive criticism.
Out-of-the-box thinker—you aren’t afraid to fail or try new ideas. Digital is constantly evolving, so we are always testing and implementing new technologies and best practices.
Requirements:
Proven experience designing digital advertising creative, with a strong portfolio showcasing banner ads, web design, and landing pages (required).
Proficiency in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator (required).
Experience creating animated GIF and HTML5 display ads (required).
Working knowledge of WordPress, including page editing and content management (required).
Experience building and editing landing pages in Leadpages or similar landing page platforms (required).
Understanding of responsive web design, typography, user experience, and conversion-focused design principles (required).
Basic knowledge of HTML and CSS (required).
Political campaign or advocacy experience (bonus—not required).
Written and verbal Spanish language skills (bonus—not required).
