Job description

Responsible for administratively supporting the clinical services provided in the ABA program including entering referrals, obtaining consents, and securing authorizations for services. Responsible for speaking with families and collaborating with clinicians in the program. Ensures collaborative communication with other members of the treatment team. Operates with Gemma’s UNITED values and the Gemma Way to ensure safe, timely, and high-quality services in alignment with IBHS/ABA best practices.

Ensure all initial treatment plans are signed. Upload all signature pages to the EMR.
Monitors new cases for clinician assignments and ensure the clinician has begun services. Facilitates initial communication between the clinician and the family if needed. Send letters to families as applicable in attempts to facilitate clinician contact.
Create authorization letters for the schools and submit weekly schedules to the schools as requested.
Connects families to alternate services/supports as needed/requested.
Updates EMR with all changes in child-related demographic information, admissions, and discharges upon notification of such changes.
Completes Discharge Aftercare plans and provides resources to families upon discharge as requested.
Skill(s): Proficient reading, writing, grammar, and mathematics skills; proficient interpersonal relations and communicative skills; proficient PC skills including knowledge of Microsoft Office; Familiarity of utilizing EMR; Detail oriented; Excellent organization and task management skills; Experience collaborating with others in a professional capacity; strong customer service principles and practices; problem solving abilities; interpersonal skills sufficient to interact with sensitivity with clients, families, office staff and external agencies.

Education: A B.S. or B.A. degree in a human service-related field required.

Experience: A minimum of one (1) year of experience in the Behavioral Health field is normally required. Experience with ABA is preferred.
