afety Net Grants Officer
A New York City based foundation is seeking an experienced grants officer to support its Safety Net mission area, focusing on older adults, individuals with disabilities and those experiencing food insecurity within the Jewish community. This grants officer will be part of a team of grants officers who relate to the several areas of the foundation's mission. The grants officer will collaborate with grant team members and the finance department to ensure effective and efficient grantmaking, grant monitoring, and grant reporting processes.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Minimum of 5 years of full-time work experience
Bachelor's degree
Knowledge of the disability, aging and food insecurity sectors in the United States
Familiarity with the philanthropic and foundation sectors
Strong communication skills and ability to work with others
Strategic thinking and sound judgment
Experience in grant initiation, development, monitoring, and analysis
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Remain current on research, activities, and trends in the disability, aging and food insecurity sectors
Identify opportunities for grant investment within the Jewish community to support older adults, individuals with disabilities and those experiencing food insecurity consistent with the foundation's mission and strategy
Participate in proposal review and due diligence processes
Monitor grantee compliance with grant agreements and reporting requirements
Generate reports for the board and/or committees of the board
Liaise with foundation's finance office as part of grants management
Perform such other duties as might be required

COMPENSATION & WORK SCHEDULE:
Full-time hybrid work schedule (currently 3 days in NY office, subject to change)
Annual salary of $120,000.00 - $150,000.00 commensurate with experience
