Job description
Position Summary
3G Philly is seeking a mission-driven, highly organized and proactive Program & Committee Coordinator to support the day-to-day operations of our volunteer-run nonprofit organization. This part-time position (approximately 10-15 hours per week, with flexibility based on organizational needs) plays a crucial role in ensuring our committees operate efficiently, key stakeholders are held accountable to follow through and programs are executed successfully.
The ideal candidate enjoys working behind the scenes, is comfortable juggling multiple projects, creatively problem-solves, communicates effectively with volunteers, and thrives in a collaborative environment.
Key Responsibilities
Committee Support
Provide administrative and organizational support for several volunteer-led committees, including (but not limited to):
Program Committee
B Mitzvah Committee
Development Committee
Light It Up Yellow Committee
Speaker Committee
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Working with and assisting committee chairs
Preparing agendas in collaboration with committee chairs
Taking and distributing meeting minutes
Tracking action items and following up on assignments
Maintaining committee calendars and timelines
Organizing committee documents and resources
Program & Event Coordination
Assist with planning and coordinating organizational programs and events.
Manage registrations, volunteer communications, and logistics as needed.
Coordinate with committee members to ensure successful program execution.
Organizational Support
Help keep the organization organized and operating smoothly.
Maintain shared files, databases, and organizational documents.
Track important deadlines and follow up on outstanding tasks.
Assist with volunteer communications and correspondence.
Provide general administrative support to the Board and committee leadership.
Help identify opportunities to improve organizational systems and workflows.
Qualifications
Excellent organizational and time management skills
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
Detail-oriented with strong follow-through
Proficient in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace
Comfortable learning new technology and online collaboration tools
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Experience supporting committees, boards, or nonprofit organizations is preferred but not required
