Position Overview:
Roller Rabbit is seeking a creative, organized, and enthusiastic Design Intern to support our Design team. This role offers hands-on exposure to the creative process behind our collections—from print and color inspiration to sample organization, design presentations, and day-to-day studio support. This role emphasizes a positive attitude, willingness to learn, and collaboration with the design team.
Key Responsibilities
Assist the Design team with daily creative, administrative, and organizational tasks.
Help research seasonal trends, color, prints, silhouettes, fabrics, and competitive brands.
Support the creation of mood boards, color stories, print inspiration, and design presentations.
Organize incoming samples, fabrics, trims, strike-offs, and other design materials.
Maintain organized physical and digital design libraries, including artwork, inspiration, and sample files.
Assist with preparing design decks, line sheets, and internal presentations.
Help organize and update design files in Dropbox, Excel trackers, and Adobe Illustrator.
Support the team with sending and receiving packages, including samples and materials for domestic and international vendors.
Participate in design meetings and assist with additional projects as needed throughout the product-development process.
Learning Objectives
Gain real-world experience within a fashion design team and learn how a collection evolves from initial inspiration through final product.
Develop a stronger understanding of print, color, fabric, silhouette, and seasonal storytelling in the Roller Rabbit brand aesthetic.
Build proficiency in Adobe Illustrator, Excel, Dropbox, and other tools used to organize and communicate design information.
Learn about the relationship between design, merchandising, production, and global vendor partners.
Strengthen creative thinking, visual communication, organization, and collaboration skills in a fast-paced fashion environment.
