The Role

As an Engagement Manager at Valence, you'll be at the heart of our mission to revolutionize leadership development through generative AI. You'll work hand-in-hand with global enterprises like Coca-Cola, Nestle, General Mills, Prudential and more to deploy the first-ever AI-powered coaching solution to their teams. You will be forging relationships, driving strategic initiatives, and directly influencing the evolution of our gen AI product. We're looking for someone who can navigate the complex landscapes of Fortune 500 companies to translate the potential of AI into tangible business outcomes.

What You'll Do

Build and grow strategic client partnerships, engaging across all levels of leadership C Suite, Executive.

Lead the consultative deployment of our generative AI tools within enterprise accounts, translating client goals into high-impact, scalable programs.

Deliver on strategic and commercial goals, consistently meeting or exceeding revenue, usage, and expansion targets within your portfolio. Own the renewal and expansion process.

Embed deeply within client organizations, becoming a programmatic partner and helping them unlock measurable value through clear use cases.

Champion behavior change by guiding clients through our consultative methodology, aligning our platform with their most pressing priorities.

Partner closely with Sales during pre-sale and pilot phases to shape solutions that convert interest into long-term engagement.

Oversee contracting and invoicing, working hand-in-hand with our Operations team to ensure a seamless experience.

Act as a client voice in product evolution, offering insights that help shape our roadmap and improve the user experience.

Stay sharp in an evolving landscape—building working fluency in generative AI, trust & ethics in machine learning, and the nuances of our clients’ industries.

What We’re Looking For

4+ years of experience—in top-tier consulting, investment banking, or fast-paced, high-growth startups.

Exceptional client-facing skills—with a proven ability to build trust and drive outcomes with senior stakeholders, including C-suite and executive leaders.

Structured problem-solving ability—you can break down complex challenges, connect the dots, and craft solutions that drive results.

Proven influence and execution—you know how to partner with busy executives, keep momentum across work streams, and make progress in environments where priorities shift fast.

Strong operational instincts—including a knack for managing details that elevate the overall experience.

Excellent communication skills—both written and verbal, with the ability to tailor your style to different audiences and settings.

Comfort with data—especially in Excel, and the ability to organize and synthesize information to create clarity and add value.

Bias for action—you’re self-motivated, solutions-oriented, and energized by challenges. You move quickly and don’t get discouraged by roadblocks.

Growth mindset—you actively seek feedback and see every experience as a chance to learn and get better.
