Rabbi / Spiritual Leader

Job Description

Part-time (preferred) or visiting Spiritual Leader who is warm, engaging, and collaborative to serve our vibrant small synagogue on a part time basis. The Spiritual Leader will provide spiritual leadership, educational programming, pastoral care and community engagement while inviting member participation in prayer, song, and programming. The ideal candidate will be comfortable connecting with members at every age and stage of life. Responsibilities of the position ideally include the following:

Lead three Saturday morning services each month
Lead one Friday evening service each month
Lead High Holiday and other holiday services with others
Coordinate leading services with ordained and lay members
Lead adult education and other programming to be determined
Be available for life cycle events at fees to be determined

Qualifications
The ideal candidate:

Is creative and uplifting.
Has educational, programming, organizational, and community development experience and expertise.
Is able to inspire a spiritually vibrant, inclusive, and welcoming community
Has Smicha or is a student working toward it as a Rabbi or Cantor (Smicha is preferred but not a requirement).
