Job description
Primary Responsibilities
Develop and execute account strategies across assigned state government accounts.
Research legislative, regulatory, and funding initiatives to identify emerging business opportunities.
Build relationships with state agency staff, legislative offices, governors' offices, healthcare associations, and other key stakeholders.
Attend customer meetings, conferences, association events, and executive briefings to increase InterSystems' visibility within assigned territories.
Assist in developing account plans, stakeholder maps, opportunity strategies, and executive engagement plans.
Coordinate internal resources to support customer pursuits, including Sales Engineering, Marketing, Product Management, and Executive Leadership.
Learn or advance knowledge in state procurement processes, budgeting cycles, and public-sector funding mechanisms.
Support proposal development, customer presentations, and business development campaigns.
Maintain accurate customer information and opportunity tracking within tracking system.
Participate in a structured professional development program.
Requirements
2+ years of professional experience in state government, executive branch, legislature, public policy, political campaigns, government affairs, business development, consulting, or a related field.
Demonstrated understanding of state government operations, political and policy environments, and the roles of executive agencies, legislative bodies, and key public-sector stakeholders.
Strong relationship-building, written communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage professionally with senior leaders and external stakeholders.
Demonstrated interest in developing a career in enterprise technology sales and a willingness to complete structured sales, healthcare industry, and InterSystems technology training.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and relevant professional experience.
