Ensure that Enhanced Due Diligence (EDD) is conducted on all high-risk customers at least annually
Manage and oversee the investigation and review of activity for all high-risk customers, documenting findings and making recommendations for account status changes
Directly manage the team of BSA/AML analysts responsible for monitoring transactions and reviewing system-generated alerts
Oversee the entire alert lifecycle, from initial review to investigation and escalation
Make the initial determination on whether to file a Suspicious Activity Report (SAR) and ensure all filings are timely and accurate
Manage and oversee the OFAC screening process, including the investigation and resolution of potential matches
Oversee the intake, investigation, and reporting of Unusual Activity Referrals (UARs) received from FinTech partners
Collaborate with BaaS partners to ensure their internal controls and BSA/AML programs align with the bank's risk policies
Serve as the primary point of contact for all law enforcement requests, including subpoenas and search warrants
Manage the process for responding to these requests, ensuring all responses are complete, accurate, and provided within required timeframes
Maintain detailed records of all requests and responses
Assist the BSA Officer in the development and maintenance of BSA/AML compliance policies and procedures
Manage and coordinate the bank's response to all BSA/AML/OFAC examinations and audits, both internal and external
Ensure timely remediation of any compliance deficiencies identified during examinations or audits
What you need:
7-10+ years of progressive experience in BSA/AML compliance within a financial institution and/or financial technology (fintech) company
Proven experience managing or leading a team of compliance professionals
Expert knowledge of BSA, AML, and OFAC regulations
Hands-on experience with BSA/AML monitoring systems and case management
Excellent analytical, communication, and decision-making skills
