The Role
As an Account Executive - Service, you are the primary GM service support contact for assigned high-volume fleet customers. You will partner closely with GM Fleet sales teams to remove service-related roadblocks that could impact customer satisfaction and future sales.
This is a territory based role. The Account Executive must be located in Houston, TX.
What You'll Do (Responsibilities)
Build and maintain positive, productive business relationships with assigned fleet accounts.
Provide prompt, proactive service support to minimize customer vehicle downtime.
Establish strong working relationships with internal and external partners, including retail dealers and fleet decision-makers.
Conduct frequent joint customer calls with the Account Executive - Sales and Commercial District Sales Managers.
Support local field sales activities, customer meetings, and industry trade shows as needed.
Serve as a key interface between retail dealerships and fleet customers to resolve service concerns.
Establish and administer GM Warranty In-Shop agreements with key accounts, including management of associated warranty expense.
Provide dealership service readiness feedback and support Techline products at GM dealerships and other authorized facilities, including select GM Fleet accounts.
Partner closely with GM District Managers - Parts & Service to review vehicles in repurchase jeopardy and seek creative solutions to avoid buy-backs.
Provide third-level, on-site support to resolve complex automotive technical and Techline issues.
Hold yourself and others accountable for demonstrating GM's values and cultural behaviors in all interactions.

Your Skills & Abilities (Required Qualifications)
Bachelor's degree or equivalent relevant experience.
5+ years of B2B sales and/or account management experience.
Demonstrated ability to build strong relationships and influence business partners at multiple levels.
Strong organization and planning skills with the ability to manage multiple, sometimes conflicting priorities.
Excellent oral and written communication skills, including the ability to tailor messages to different audiences and present information clearly and effectively.
Proven ability to thrive in a fast-paced, innovative, and rapidly evolving environment; comfortable operating with ambiguity.
Proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
Ability to travel 50%-75% within the assigned region.
