Financial Analyst – Healthcare Asset Management
Five Towns, NY
$100k – $150k
A growing healthcare organization is seeking a Financial Analyst to support the financial and operational performance of a large and expanding portfolio.
In this role, you will work closely with SNF operators to monitor revenue, costs, budgets, and overall performance, identify the drivers behind key variances and trends, and develop strategies to address challenges and improve results. You will work closely with operators on the issues that directly impact performance, with meaningful involvement in problem-solving, decision-making, and initiatives across the portfolio.
Responsibilities

Provide financial and performance oversight across an assigned portfolio of facilities

Partner closely with operators to review revenue, expenses, budgets, variances, and broader operating performance

Analyze financial results in the context of facility operations and identify the underlying factors driving performance

Work with operators to address areas of underperformance, evaluate potential solutions, and develop strategies to improve results

Monitor trends across facilities and identify opportunities to strengthen revenue, manage costs, and improve overall performance

Conduct market and competitive research to evaluate referral dynamics, local demand, competitive positioning, and potential growth opportunities

Assess opportunities for new clinical programs, service offerings, and other initiatives that can support facility growth

Take ownership of financial and operational issues as they arise and help drive them toward resolution

Leverage Excel, data tools, and emerging technologies to support analysis and decision-making
Requirements

3-5 years of experience in finance or financial analysis

Strong financial and analytical foundation with the ability to interpret results, identify trends and variances, and understand the business drivers behind the numbers

Healthcare experience preferred; SNF or post-acute experience is a plus

Background in financial consulting, asset management, or a similarly analytical and business-oriented environment is a plus

Advanced Excel skills, including complex formulas, pivot tables, data analysis and manipulation, and financial modeling

Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills with the ability to connect financial performance to operational realities

Excellent communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to work effectively with operators and senior leadership

High level of initiative, ownership, and follow-through

Solutions-oriented, practical thinker who can work through complex issues and push initiatives forward

Ability to work full-time in office in the Five Towns
