Tax Manager

A growing accounting firm is seeking an experienced Tax Manager to join the team. This is an excellent opportunity for a qualified professional to take ownership of the firm’s tax review and advisory function.

The firm currently has a team of 13 employees, including 4 accountants, and is looking for a candidate who already has strong tax management experience and can step into the role with minimal training.

Key Responsibilities

• Review tax returns prepared by staff accountants
• Provide guidance on complex tax matters and tax planning strategies
• Advise clients on tax-efficient structures and compliance matters
• Maintain and manage client relationships
• Supervise and mentor accountants and senior staff
• Ensure compliance with federal and state tax laws and regulations
• Coordinate with firm leadership on tax strategy and client matters

Qualifications

• Prior experience in a Tax Manager or senior tax role required
• Strong knowledge of tax compliance and planning
• Ability to review and oversee the work of accounting staff
• Excellent analytical and client communication skills
• CPA preferred but not required

Compensation

• Salary range: $150,000 – $200,000
• Competitive compensation based on experience
