Congregation Sons of Israel in Briarcliff Manor is a dynamic, innovative, and friendly community. We are looking for creative, energetic teachers for 2, 4 and 5/6 Grade on Sundays and Tuesdays. This is a part-time position. Our classes meet on Sundays, 9-11:00am and Tuesdays, 4-6:00pm. Qualifications for 2nd grade teacher: • Broad knowledge of Torah, Israel, Mitzvot, Middot, and Holidays • Ability to lead and instruct students of different abilities • Enthusiastic and fun • Professional and collaborative spirit • Willingness to be mentored, to grow, and to learn Qualifications for 4th grade teacher • Basic knowledge of Hebrew • Creative flare for bringing Judaic subjects to life by incorporating project-based learning, music and crafts • Ability to lead and instruct students of different abilities • Enthusiastic and fun • Professional and collaborative spirit • Willingness to be mentored, to grow, and to learn • Broad knowledge of Torah, Israel, Mitzvot, Middot, and Holidays Qualifications for 5th-6th grade Teacher • Broad knowledge of Torah, Israel, Mitzvot, Middot, Jewish life cycles, and Holidays • Ability to lead and instruct students of different abilities • Enthusiastic and fun • Professional and collaborative spirit • Willingness to be mentored, to grow, and to learn Compensation: Our working produce farm, small class sizes, and involved parent body, make teaching here a dream.
