Job description

Jgive, Israel’s leading charitable giving platform, is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join its executive leadership team. Reporting directly to the CEO, the CFO will have full responsibility for Jgive’s financial operations in both Israel and the United States, with a mandate to help lead the organization through its next stage of growth.
Founded in 2014 by the Asor Foundation, Jgive is a social fintech organization dedicated to strengthening the culture of philanthropy in Israel. Every day, significant donations, grants, and philanthropic investments flow through the platform, making finance the core of our business—not merely a supporting function.
This role combines full ownership of the organization’s financial management, regulatory compliance, and audit processes with genuine strategic partnership in shaping the company’s future. It offers the opportunity to create meaningful social impact while operating at fintech standards within a well-established, fast-growing organization.

Key Responsibilities:
1. Financial Leadership & Reporting

Lead the financial management of Jgive’s two legal entities: Asor Foundation (Israel) and the U.S. Friends Organization (501(c)(3)).
Prepare financial reporting for management, the Board of Directors, and board committees.
Serve as a strategic partner to the CEO in financial planning, decision-making, and execution.
2. Finance Team, Systems & Automation

Lead, mentor, and develop the finance team, including payroll.
Drive cross-functional process improvements.
Oversee ERP and BI systems.
Implement AI and automation across finance operations to improve efficiency and scalability.
3. Financial Operations

Oversee the complete flow of funds, from donation to grant distribution.
Manage accounting controls, bank and trust accounts in Israel and the U.S., liquidity, deposits, foreign exchange exposure, banking relationships, and payment processing costs.
4. Financial Planning & Growth

Lead annual and multi-year budgeting, forecasting, and KPI management.
Monitor revenue and fee performance.
Own pricing models and financial modeling within the product.
Evaluate the financial aspects of strategic partnerships and business opportunities.
5. Investment Management

Oversee the investment portfolios supporting donor-advised funds.
Work closely with investment managers and the Investment Committee.
Report investment performance to donors.
Develop new philanthropic giving structures, including real estate and publicly traded securities donations.
6. Donors & Foundations

Prepare financial reports for foundations and strategic partners.
Build relationships with major donors.
Lead financial due diligence for significant grant allocations.
7. Audit, Compliance & Tax

Manage external audits and work closely with the Audit Committee and external auditors.
Ensure regulatory reporting and compliance in Israel (Proper Management Certificate, Section 46) and the U.S. (IRS).
Oversee internal controls, risk management, insurance, anti-money laundering (AML), and fraud prevention.

Requirements

Strong connection to Jgive’s mission and a genuine desire to create social impact by advancing philanthropy in Israel.
At least 10 years of financial leadership experience, including senior responsibility for organizations managing hundreds of millions of ILS.
Proven experience managing finance operations in a technology-driven environment, including payment processing, digital wallet infrastructure, and financial controls.
Experience overseeing multi-entity financial operations and banking relationships across both Israel and the United States, with deep familiarity with the Israeli market and ongoing collaboration with the U.S. financial ecosystem.
Strong background in investments and capital markets, including working with investment committees and maintaining relationships within Israel’s investment and banking sectors.
A combination of strategic thinking and hands-on execution, with the ability to translate organizational goals into financial strategy while thriving in a fast-paced, startup-oriented environment.
Strong analytical capabilities and experience with financial systems, BI tools, and executive dashboards.
Experience incorporating AI into finance workflows is a significant advantage.
Excellent written and spoken English.
Highly organized, detail-oriented, independent, collaborative, and capable of leading cross-functional initiatives.
Willingness to work during peak periods, including quarter-end, holidays, and year-end close.
Preferred Qualifications

CPA certification.
Experience in technology or fintech companies.
Familiarity with the nonprofit sector and nonprofit taxation in both Israel and the United States.
Experience working with Jgive’s target audience, including high-net-worth individuals, family offices, their advisors, accountants, and attorneys.
Experience operating in highly regulated environments, including AML and Know Your Customer (KYC) compliance.
Experience with leading ERP systems, particularly Priority
