Job description

The Coordinator for Academic Initiatives supports the development and implementation of international academic initiatives across Tel Aviv University. The role focuses on coordinating collaborative programs, supporting faculty engagement in international funding opportunities, and managing the operational aspects of strategic academic partnerships.

Key Responsibilities
• Coordinate and manage TAU’s bilateral Seed Funding programs with strategic partner universities, including the planning, promotion, evaluation, implementation, and ongoing administration of recurring joint calls.
• Support faculty members in the development and administration of international collaborative projects, including Erasmus+ cooperation projects (excluding mobility), from proposal preparation through project implementation, budgeting, reporting, and communication with internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate and support international academic initiatives, including Collaborative Online International Learning (COIL) projects, Faculty-Led Programs, European University Alliances, joint summer and winter schools, and other collaborative educational initiatives, working closely with faculty, university administrative units, and international partner institutions.Identify, promote, and disseminate relevant international funding opportunities and academic collaboration programs, while developing guidance materials and providing administrative support to faculty throughout the application and implementation process.
• Monitor project timelines, budgets, deliverables, and reporting requirements to ensure the successful implementation and compliance of multiple international initiatives.

Requirements 

• Academic degree (Master’s degree preferred).
• Experience in higher education, international programs, or project coordination.
• Experience in grant administration or international funding programs – an advantage.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Hebrew and English.
• Strong organizational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
• Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Initiative, service orientation, and excellent interpersonal skills.
