AutoCAD Drafter/3D Renderer & Project Manager Position Overview

A Brooklyn-based interior design firm is seeking an experienced AutoCAD Drafter / 3D Renderer & Project Manager to join its growing team. This hybrid creative and technical role is ideal for someone with a strong background in interior design, architecture, or a related field who can translate design concepts into detailed technical drawings and high-quality 3D visualizations while helping manage projects from concept through completion.

The ideal candidate combines strong drafting and rendering skills with excellent organization, communication, and project management abilities.

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed architectural and interior design drawings using AutoCAD.
• Prepare floor plans, elevations, sections, details, and other technical documentation.
• Develop accurate 3D models based on design concepts, plans, and specifications.
• Produce high-quality, photorealistic renderings for client presentations and project development.
• Translate conceptual designs and sketches into accurate, production-ready drawings.
• Update drawings and renderings based on client, designer, contractor, and project feedback.
• Assist with project management from the design and planning stages through installation and completion.
• Track project schedules, deadlines, revisions, approvals, and outstanding action items.
• Coordinate project details with designers, clients, vendors, contractors, and other professionals.
• Help ensure design specifications are accurately communicated and executed.
• Maintain organized project files, drawings, renderings, specifications, and documentation.
• Assist in identifying and resolving design or project issues throughout the process.
• Manage multiple projects and priorities while maintaining accuracy and meeting deadlines.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in interior design, architecture, drafting, 3D visualization, or a related field.
• Strong proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
• Experience with Rhino is required.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
• Strong 3D modeling and photorealistic rendering capabilities.
• Solid understanding of architectural drawings, interior layouts, dimensions, and design documentation.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with designers, clients, vendors, and contractors.
• Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take ownership of projects.
• Portfolio of relevant drafting, rendering, and design work is required.
