Program Director

Location: Los Angeles, CA

Salary: $60000–$65000, commensurate with experience

Yachad, a division of the Orthodox Union, is seeking a passionate and organized Program Director to develop and oversee inclusive programs for individuals with intellectual, developmental, and learning disabilities throughout Los Angeles.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Plan, implement, promote, and evaluate Yachad Los Angeles programs
2. Develop social, recreational, educational, and leadership opportunities for children, teens, and adults
3. Coordinate Shabbatonim, Shabbat meals, holiday events, and community programs
4. Conduct outreach to new participants and families
5. Manage participant intake, registration, attendance, and program fees
6. Build relationships with schools, synagogues, group homes, and community organizations
7. Recruit, train, mentor, and supervise volunteers, advisors, interns, and program staff
8. Oversee high school and college engagement initiatives
9. Assist with budgets, expense tracking, fundraising campaigns, and social media promotion
10. Participate in regional and national Yachad initiatives, trainings, and events

Qualifications:

1. Strong commitment to inclusion and Yachad’s mission
2. Experience in program development and event planning
3. Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills
4. Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently
5. Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, CRM systems, and social media
6. Experience supporting individuals with disabilities preferred
7. Familiarity with the Los Angeles Jewish community and Jewish traditions preferred
8. Supervisory experience is a plus

Schedule Requirements:

1. Availability for up to three evenings per week until 7:30 PM, occasional Sundays, three to four Shabbatonim annually, and occasional travel.
