A well-established and expanding title company in Upstate New York is seeking an experienced Attorney, licensed in New York, to serve as General Counsel. The ideal candidate will have strong real estate/legal experience, excellent judgment, and the ability to manage complex transactions in a fast-paced environment. A hybrid work arrangement is available for the right candidate. Responsibilities: Provide legal guidance on residential and commercial real estate transactions. Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, agreements, and closing documents. Oversee title-related legal issues, including clearing title defects. Ensure compliance with state regulations and support leadership with strategic legal insight. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Excellent communication and negotiation skills. High attention to detail and accuracy. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Requirements: Juris Doctor (JD) degree. Active New York State Bar license (required). Experience in real estate law, title insurance, or related fields. Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively with internal and external partners.
