Jewish Silicon Valley (JSV) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit formed by the merger of the Jewish Federation of Silicon Valley and the Addison-Penzak JCC. Its mission is to harness the power of community to improve lives, build bridges of understanding, and strengthen the Jewish people here, in Israel, and around the world. The Chief Financial Officer is a strategic executive leader reporting directly to the CEO and serving as a thought partner in driving organizational growth and financial sustainability. The CFO joins JSV at a transformative moment as it launches new capital campaign projects, expands its community foundation model through DAF and endowment opportunities, and develops new ways to meet community needs. Responsibilities: • Lead financial operations and systems supporting financial reporting, budgeting, forecasting, and internal controls • Ensure compliance with GAAP and local, state, and federal nonprofit fiscal and fiduciary guidelines • Direct annual forecasting and budgeting across all JSV departments and initiatives • Coordinate the annual independent audit and review audited financial statements for proper disclosures • Provide leadership and direction for all investment accounting; serve as staff lead to the Investment and Finance Committees • Present and defend financial position reports to the Board of Directors Qualifications: • Senior-level finance or accounting experience in a not-for-profit and/or for-profit environment • Bachelor's and/or master's degree in business, accounting, finance, or a related field; CPA strongly preferred • Knowledge of finance, budgeting, cost control, internal controls, cash management, and GAAP • Board-level experience interacting with lay leadership Salary: $160,000-$175,000. Full-time, exempt, fully benefited. Offer contingent on a clear LiveScan background check and proof of eligibility to work in the US without sponsorship.
