Financial Controller

Job description

We are seeking an experienced Financial Controller to take full ownership of the company’s financial operations, reporting, forecasting, and financial planning. This is a hands-on leadership role responsible for ensuring the financial health of the business and providing clear insights to support strategic decision-making. Key Responsibilities Own the company’s financial strategy, reporting, and performance. Develop budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections. Monitor profitability across all divisions and identify areas for improvement. Manage payroll, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and financial controls. Oversee loan payments, debt management, and banking relationships. Plan capital allocation and cash requirements for seasonal inventory purchases and growth initiatives. Identify opportunities to reduce costs and improve operational efficiency. Ensure accurate financial reporting and compliance with accounting standards. Provide management with clear financial analysis and recommendations. Track key performance indicators and ensure the company remains profitable and financially stable. Ideal Candidate Strong experience as a Financial Controller, Finance Director, or similar senior finance role. Expertise in budgeting, forecasting, cash flow management, and financial analysis. Ability to evaluate profitability by department, product line, or business unit. Strong understanding of payroll, debt management, and working capital planning. Hands-on, analytical, and business-minded with excellent decision-making skills. Experience in manufacturing, distribution, retail, or multi-division businesses is a plus.
