Backend Developer – Python / AWS

$95,000–$120,000 DOE

A growing technology company is seeking a Backend Developer to join its engineering team building modern SaaS platforms and backend systems. The ideal candidate is hands-on, collaborative, and experienced with Python and AWS cloud technologies.

Responsibilities

• Build and maintain backend services and APIs using Python and FastAPI
• Develop scalable backend architecture and cloud-based systems
• Collaborate with frontend developers and product teams on new features
• Write clean, maintainable, and production-ready code
• Deploy and manage services using AWS tools including Lambda, ECS, and S3
• Monitor and improve system performance and reliability

Qualifications

• 3+ years of backend development experience with Python
• Strong understanding of REST APIs and backend architecture
• Experience with AWS cloud services
• Experience with PostgreSQL and Git workflows
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Preferred

• Experience with Docker and Terraform
• Familiarity with SaaS or enterprise-level applications
• Understanding of backend security and authentication systems
