Accountant - Public Accounting Firm Brooklyn, NY | $120K–$135K+ DOE A successful and growing public accounting firm is seeking a highly experienced accounting professional to work directly with firm leadership and help execute strategic initiatives, improve processes, and support the continued growth of the practice. This role is ideal for someone coming from a public accounting background who is hands-on, detail-oriented, and able to take ideas and strategies from leadership and turn them into action. The ideal candidate will have strong technical accounting experience, excellent problem-solving skills, and the ability to manage client work, internal processes, and special projects with minimal oversight. The candidate will be responsible for supporting financial reporting, tax and accounting engagements, analyzing client needs, improving workflows, and helping implement firm-wide initiatives. This person will serve as a key resource to leadership and play an important role in executing the vision and goals of the firm. Requirements: Strong hands-on experience working in a public accounting firm required CPA preferred Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance Strong knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting, and tax processes Ability to analyze problems, develop solutions, and execute plans effectively Excellent organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities Strong communication skills and attention to detail This is a unique opportunity for an experienced public accounting professional who wants to take on a high-impact role, work closely with firm leadership, and be part of a growing organization.
