Takeoff Estimator – Framing Company Location: Monsey, NY Schedule: Full-Time, In Office Salary: $85,000 – $110,000 (Based on Experience) Job Overview A growing framing company is seeking an experienced Takeoff Estimator to prepare accurate project estimates by reviewing construction plans, performing detailed takeoffs, calculating labor and material requirements, and preparing bids. Responsibilities Review architectural plans, structural drawings, framing details, and project specifications. Analyze bid documents to determine the scope of work required. Perform detailed quantity takeoffs, including: Studs and track Deflection track Structural framing components Shaft wall systems Drywall, doors, insulation, fasteners, and accessories Calculate labor requirements, including labor hours, crew size, and production rates. Obtain material pricing from suppliers and maintain updated cost information. Prepare detailed estimates, including project costs, assumptions, exclusions, and proposals. Work closely with project managers and sales teams to answer bid questions and update estimates when plans change. Assist with pricing change orders and revised project requirements. Ensure estimates are accurate, competitive, and profitable for the company. Qualifications Experience in construction estimating, takeoffs, or a related field a MUST. Ability to read and interpret blueprints, architectural plans, and construction documents. Knowledge of framing systems and construction processes. Strong mathematical, analytical, and organizational skills. Excellent attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects. Proficiency with estimating software such as Bluebeam, On-Screen Takeoff (OST), PlanSwift, or Excel a MUST. Strong communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with internal teams. Position Details: Full-time, in-office position located in Monsey, NY. Salary range is $85,000–$110,000 depending on experience.
