A&D Business Development Manager
Location: Remote (Travel Required)
Compensation: $100K–$125K DOE
Schedule: Full-Time
A well-established commercial furniture manufacturer is seeking an experienced A&D Business Development Manager to grow relationships within the architectural and design community. This role is centered on building long-term partnerships by educating architects and designers through CEU presentations, lunch-and-learns, and product demonstrations, ultimately driving product specifications and new business opportunities.
The ideal candidate is an engaging relationship builder with experience in the A&D, commercial furniture, or building products industry who enjoys consultative selling through education rather than traditional sales.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with architects, interior designers, and design firms.
- Schedule and present CEU courses, lunch-and-learns, and product demonstrations.
- Promote the company's products and help increase product specifications.
- Identify new opportunities within the A&D community and expand the company's network.
- Collaborate with the sales team to convert specifications into awarded projects.
- Track activity, follow-ups, and opportunities through the CRM system.
- Represent the company at industry events, trade shows, and networking functions.
Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience working with architects, designers, specifiers, or the commercial furniture industry.
- Experience delivering CEU presentations, product training, or educational seminars is highly preferred.
- Excellent presentation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Self-motivated, organized, and able to work independently.
- Willingness to travel throughout the assigned territory.
