Job description

A growing low-voltage contractor is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Estimator to join the team. The ideal candidate has experience in the low-voltage industry, is highly organized, and can manage multiple projects simultaneously. This role requires someone who is proactive, eager to take ownership, and comfortable working with estimating software and basic computer applications. Responsibilities: Prepare accurate estimates and proposals for low-voltage projects by reviewing plans, specifications, and project requirements. Communicate with project managers, vendors, and clients to gather pricing and ensure estimates are complete and competitive. Track multiple bids and deadlines while maintaining organized project documentation. Assist with takeoffs, material pricing, and other administrative tasks to support the estimating process. Skills: Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with excellent attention to detail. Highly organized with the ability to multitask and prioritize competing deadlines. Strong communication and teamwork skills. Basic computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office; experience with estimating or construction software is a plus. Requirements: Previous estimating experience in the low-voltage industry preferred. General construction estimating experience will also be considered. Basic computer knowledge and the ability to learn new software quickly. Self-motivated, dependable, and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
