OHEL Children’s Home and Family Services, a gold standard charity serving the New York metro area and beyond for over 50 years, seeks a proactive, motivated and dynamic professional to serve as its Coordinator of Volunteer Services--- The successful candidate will have the opportunity to greatly shape and impact how OHEL is viewed in the Tri State area and nationally as well. Responsibilities include: identify, recruit and train volunteers and be an ambassador to schools, shuls, local businesses and other key potential partners in ensuring that the organization maximizes its interaction between the clients, staff and the community at large. Through events, Shabbatonim, retreats and other expansive programs that touch the lives of over 13,000 people in need each year, the Coordinator will connect volunteers to OHEL’s work in a meaningful and impactful way that will inspire and elevate both sides. One to two years of meaningful experience in a similar capacity is required. The Coordinator will be a valued member of the Development team, report to the Director of Development and will be mentored by the Chief Development Officer as well. He/she will also have the opportunity and “space’ to create, impact and connect throughout the Tri State area as they themselves deem appropriate. Tri-State travel with your own car is a necessity, as is keen knowledge of social networking sites. Bachelor degree is required. Master’s Degree preferred. Requirements: Years of experience: N/A.
