Job description

Reporting to the President of the Board and working closely with the Executive Committee and Board of Directors, the Chief Executive Officer serves as the strategic and operational leader of Jewish Big Brothers Big Sisters of Los Angeles (JBBBSLA). The CEO oversees all aspects of the organization, including mentoring services, Camp Bob Waldorf, college access and scholarship programs, fundraising, finance and administration. Responsibilities: • Lead development and execution of the strategic plan to advance the mission across mentoring, camp and college access programs • Drive measurable growth in mentoring matches, youth served, campers, and year-round camp leasing and revenue opportunities • Oversee day-to-day operations and financial management, including budgets, cash flow and revenue analysis • Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing leadership team and foster a positive organizational culture • Maintain and strengthen relationships with donors, foundations, community leaders and strategic partners • Partner with the Board on governance, reporting, strategy and long-term planning Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree required; advanced degree in nonprofit management, business administration, education, public administration or social services preferred • Minimum of ten years of progressive leadership experience, preferably within a nonprofit, youth-serving, educational or camp organization • Demonstrated success leading or scaling organizational programs and operations • Strong operational and financial management skills • Demonstrated fundraising and donor engagement experience • Familiarity with the Los Angeles nonprofit and philanthropic landscape and/or the Jewish community is helpful, though not required This search is being managed by Envision Consulting.
