Job description
BBYO is looking for a passionate Regional Director to make a difference in Keystone Mountain Region. This is a unique opportunity to bring expertise in event planning, teen mentorship and project management to revitalize and strengthen BBYO in a vibrant Jewish community with a long history of BBYO influence. You'll play a pivotal role in growing membership, training teen leaders, planning meaningful programs and strengthening community support in the Pittsburgh area. Responsibilities: • Coach and mentor teens to implement an annual calendar of high quality, diverse and fun programs at the chapter and regional level • Manage the teen-led regional board and regional initiatives, including two overnight conventions and other major regional events • Ensure regional programs are engaging, impactful, well-promoted and safely executed • Recruit, train, supervise and build a strong community of volunteer advisors • Cultivate relationships with parents, alumni and community partners • Use data to drive decisions and build a robust member recruitment process Qualifications: • 2-5 years of work experience; a bachelor's degree or higher • Experience with youth or teens and with event management and planning preferred • Must reside in the Pittsburgh, PA area and travel regularly throughout the region • Ability to work non-traditional hours (some nights and weekends) and staff a summer leadership program for 2-3 weeks each summer Salary: $60,000-$70,000, plus eligibility for a discretionary bonus based on individual performance.
