BBYO Chapter Specialist, New England Region (Greater Providence)

Job description

As a Chapter Specialist, you'll work closely with chapters in the Greater Providence, Rhode Island area of BBYO's New England Region to enhance their programming, engagement and overall impact for Jewish teens. This position offers a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills, cultivate relationships with diverse communities and contribute to the growth and success of BBYO chapters. Responsibilities: • Work directly with teens (grades 8-12) to create impactful, fun and dynamic programming • Coach teens on how to run their chapters and support them in building out chapter calendars • Be present at chapter events and meetings • Keep chapters up to date on movement initiatives • Work with teens to attract and retain members to build and grow chapters • Oversee chapter attendance data including event registration forms • Facilitate effective communication among chapters and with parents and community members • Meet monthly with a cohort of other chapter specialists Qualifications: • Must be at least 3 years removed from high school • Must live within or close to the region • A creative and responsible self-starter comfortable taking initiative and collaborating with teens • Detail-oriented with excellent written and verbal communication skills • Ability to transport self to and from chapter or regional events Time Commitment: 8-12 hours a week (will vary), some nights and weekends required, August 2026 - June 2027. Pay: $17.00-$18.00 per hour.
