BBYO Chapter Specialist, Glencoe, IL

Job description

As a Chapter Specialist, you'll work closely with the staff of the Great Midwest Region and the youth professionals at Am Shalom and North Shore Congregation Israel to enhance their programming, engagement and overall impact for Jewish teens. Responsibilities: • Work directly with teens (grades 8-12) to create impactful, fun and dynamic programming • Coach teens on recruitment and retention strategies that build and grow their chapters • Support teens in building and executing chapter calendars with a consistent programming cadence • Be present at chapter events and meetings, providing guidance, supervision and mentorship as the adult in the room • Ensure chapter participation in region-wide and organization-wide initiatives including BBYO Summer Programs, ILN and International Convention • Track and analyze chapter data including attendance, engagement and membership trends • Participate in monthly professional development with fellow Chapter Specialists Qualifications: • Must be at least 3 years removed from high school • Must be willing and able to be in Glencoe regularly; active participation at the local chapter program required (2-4x a month) • Ability to transport self to and from chapter or regional events • Must be available for Chapter Board Training (Aug 23), Regional Kickoff (Aug 30), Invite Convention (Dec 4-6), spring board training (Jan 10), Spring Kickoff (Jan 31) and Spring Convention (Apr 9-11) Time Commitment: 8-10 hours a week (will vary), some nights and weekends required, August - May, with potential for summer work. Pay: $21 per hour.
