Athletics Director and Physical Education Teacher (Part-Time)

The Athletics Director and Physical Education teacher will lead the Athletics program at Bernard Zell and teach a couple of sections of Physical Education. The Athletics Director is responsible for staying current on best practices in Athletics administration and will oversee and manage employees and budgets within the Athletics program. Responsibilities: • Communicate with students, parents, staff and community in a timely manner regarding Athletics programming • Recruit, hire, train and supervise coaches for Athletics teams • Schedule and coordinate practice and game schedules in partnership with facilities and operations • Host key Athletics events including the annual track meet, playoffs, student-staff games and the Athletics banquet • Partner with the Athletics Booster Club as Administrative Liaison • Procure and maintain supplies for Athletics teams • Teach 2-6 class periods per week as assigned and stay current on best practices in Physical Education and Health & Wellness Qualifications: • Bachelor's Degree required • Minimum 2 years of classroom teaching experience required • Experience managing athletics teams and leadership experience within Athletics programs • Experience with differentiation in the classroom • Proven ability to work as a member of a team Schedule: 0.5 FTE. Hours may vary, but baseline starts at 2:00-6:00 p.m. Monday-Thursday; Friday varies based on teaching assignments. Salary: $26,733-$40,505.
