Lander-Grinspoon Academy, a K-6 Jewish Day school in Northampton, MA, is hiring a dynamic and creative full-time Hebrew teacher. You will teach Hebrew classes to students in grades 2-6 every day. Each class is 45-60 minutes, conducted entirely in Hebrew. Responsibilities: • Partner with families in regular communication • Nurture a joyful sense of Jewish identity within each student • Teach about Jewish holidays at appropriate times of year • Commit to implementing the school's social/emotional curriculum as well as its strong academic program Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree • Fluent in Hebrew and able to teach entirely in the target language • Strong Judaic content knowledge and ability to teach about Jewish holidays in Hebrew • Experience teaching elementary grade students • Works well as part of a team; familiarity with Talam preferred Salary: $43,000-$66,000, commensurate with experience and education. Benefits: Health and dental insurance, retirement plan, roughly 2 hours of prep time a day, a teacher mentor and weekly meetings with a member of the leadership team for all new teachers, paid time off for state, federal and Jewish holidays, and early release Fridays.
