Hillel Torah North Suburban Day School is seeking an Elementary School (grades 1-4) Lead Teacher to join its General Studies team for the 2026-2027 school year. General studies lead teachers are responsible for teaching reading, writing and mathematics. Lead teachers work closely with their assistant teacher and collaborate with the Student Services (special education) Department, school social worker and outside support to meet the academic and social-emotional needs of all their students. The ideal candidate is a warm and nurturing educator with a creative, progressive, student-centered and academically engaging teaching style and experience teaching in elementary school classrooms. Qualifications: • Degree in education (Bachelor's or higher) • Illinois State Teaching License required • Experience teaching elementary school preferred Salary: Commensurate with education and experience.
