Job description
The Director, International Experiences oversees Jewish engagement opportunities for audiences ages 18-26 through local and international travel programs, primarily focused on Israel. The Director creates strategies to increase participation and ensure successful facilitation of the entire International Experience portfolio, including Taglit Birthright Israel, Birthright Israel Onward, MASA programs and other international programs. This position reports to the VP, International Operations. Responsibilities: • Supervise the International Experiences Associate and oversee all recruitment and promotion strategy, campus partner relationships and the full portfolio • Develop and manage International Experiences portfolio and event budgets • Develop partnership strategies to expand and support initiatives, identifying and maintaining relationships • Manage international logistics including itinerary and travel planning and execution • Create, facilitate and expand programs, including educational and engagement opportunities before and after trips • Ensure grant parameters are achieved, including increasing program participation and expanding pre/during/post-program strategies • Serve as a key part of crisis response, including mobilizing resources for participants in Israel and communicating with participants and parents Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred; 5+ years of relevant work experience • Significant experience living and/or working in Israel • Strong written and oral communication, relationship cultivation and customer service background • Campus environment experience, marketing skills, international travel logistics and nonprofit fundraising experience preferred The role requires international and domestic travel, and 10% of the position is allocated to an annual campaign assignment.
