Daytime Year-Round Lifeguard

Job description

Compensation: $17.00 to $18.00 per hour. Hourly, part-time, less than 20 hours per week. Availability required 8 AM - 5 PM. Responsibilities: • Responsible for the safety of pool patrons by preventing accidents and responding quickly to emergency situations • Follow and enforce pool policies and rules at all times • Prevent injuries and minimize hazardous situations • Always provide safety surveillance, including while walking around the facility • Attend mandatory training and in-service meetings required by Shalom Austin • Maintain life safety and rescue skills at rescue-ready levels over the duration of employment • Complete routine maintenance and assigned cleaning duties • Maintain inventories and care for Shalom Austin property and equipment; keep the supervisor informed of necessary materials and supplies for daily operations and programs • Monitor and record safety checks in compliance with Shalom Austin, State and local guidelines Shalom Austin is the hub of Jewish life in Central Texas, a 501(c)3 nonprofit comprised of the Jewish Community Center, Jewish Federation, Jewish Family Service and the Jewish Foundation.
