Fitness Floor Staff

Job description

Compensation: $15.00 per hour. 20-29 hours per week, with an opportunity to increase hours over time on a needs basis. Must have flexibility to work during the week and weekends. This is a part-time, non-exempt position on the fitness floor of the Dell JCC. Responsibilities: • Ensure the needs of members, guests and visitors are met with exceptional customer service • Create a welcoming atmosphere by making eye contact, greeting and participating in informal communication • Uphold high standards in cleanliness, organization and presentation of equipment • Maintain full stock of hygienic products at all times • Monitor sauna and steam rooms to ensure users are safe from heat exhaustion and that rooms are clean and functioning properly • Promote safety by ensuring policies are followed and equipment is used as intended • Be knowledgeable about products and equipment and provide clear instructions on proper usage • Assist in the set-up and break-down of classes, programs, services and amenities • Navigate the website, software integrations and apps to register members for programs and process transactions • Under supervision of the Fitness and Wellness Director, assist with equipment utilization, warmups and cool downs, and fitness testing and evaluation
