Part Time Counselor / Therapist

Job description

As part of a dynamic, highly skilled team of psychotherapists recognized for excellence in trauma-informed, person-centered psychotherapy, this Counselor position delivers outpatient psychotherapy services to individuals across diverse populations. This role may support counseling services across JFCS programs, delivering therapy in the office, in schools and homes, or via telehealth. Responsibilities: • Conduct biopsychosocial assessments • Develop treatment plans tailored to individual client needs • Perform psychotherapy sessions with assigned clients and groups • Maintain accurate and timely client documentation in electronic health records • Complete required assessment tools and progress notes in compliance with internal and funding source documentation requirements • Demonstrate sensitivity to the service population, cultural competency and awareness of socio-economic issues Qualifications: • Master's degree in psychology, social work or a related field • Florida LMHC or LCSW or Registered Intern preferred; Qualified Supervisor Certification preferred • Valid Florida driver's license, ability to respond outside regular hours, and ability to pass a criminal background check • Bilingual English/Spanish preferred • Competence in Medicaid/Medicare standards of care, HIPAA compliance and the agency's electronic health record system • Commitment to ongoing training and professional development, and to maintaining active Florida licensure through required CEUs
