Homemaker/Housekeeper - Boulder County

Job description

Salary: $23.00 per hour. 15 hours per week (2 days per week, including Friday). Provide in-home housekeeping services to seniors, adults with disabilities and adults with serious illnesses in Boulder County. Services include light housekeeping, laundry, simple meal preparation and cleanup, and running errands. The Homemaker/Housekeeper represents Jewish Family Service in the homes of clients and in the community. Responsibilities: • Dusting, vacuuming, and cleaning kitchens and bathrooms including floors • Laundry and linen changing • Supplemental grocery shopping and light meal preparation as needed • Communicate regularly with the Case Manager and supervisor, promptly reporting client problems or concerns • Attend scheduled supervisory meetings and mandatory agency meetings Qualifications: • High School diploma or GED • Housekeeping/cleaning experience in apartments and private homes preferred • Attention to detail and timeliness; understanding of aging and disabilities • Must be able to lift 40 pounds, bend, stoop and perform push/pull motions such as sweeping, mopping, vacuuming and dusting • Must have own transportation, a valid driver's license and current automobile insurance coverage Recruitment for this position is ongoing.
