Job description

As the largest funder of Jewish causes in California, the Jewish Federation Bay Area connects donors, changemakers and community partners to build a thriving, resilient future. The Manager, Leadership Development is a new role responsible for designing, facilitating and executing programs that engage the next generation of Jewish philanthropic leaders. This person identifies, cultivates and recruits emerging leaders into Federation programs and national opportunities, facilitates cohort-based leadership experiences, and serves as the primary liaison to national partner organizations. Responsibilities: • Develop strategies for identifying and engaging emerging Jewish philanthropic leaders ages 30-50 • Serve as a connector across leadership programs - giving circles, cohort programs, JFNA Young Leadership Cabinet, Wexner Heritage Fellowship • Staff the Next Gen Engagement Task Force and produce 1-2 community-focused events per year • Facilitate the Young Jewish Fund, pop-up giving circles and cohort-based leadership programs • Design and facilitate immersive programming, including domestic and international travel • Serve as primary liaison to JFNA Young Leadership Cabinet and steward the Wexner Heritage Foundation relationship • Maintain Salesforce records and manage the day-to-day program budget Qualifications: • Exceptional group facilitation and program design skills • Comfort with philanthropy and fundraising and genuine ability to build relationships with emerging donors This role reports to the Senior Director, Leadership Development. The Manager is expected to be in the office three days a week (Tuesday-Thursday).
