Job description
Hebrew Union College is seeking a dynamic, relationship-oriented professional to serve in a dual part-time role as Admissions Recruiter (Los Angeles) and Jewish Ideas Fellowship Director. This position averages 20 hours per week and combines student recruitment with leadership development for emerging Jewish leaders. It reports to the Associate Director of Recruitment & Partnership Development. Responsibilities: • Serve as the primary recruitment representative for the Los Angeles campus and Southern California region, meeting prospective students in person and virtually • Coach applicants through discernment, admissions requirements and Hebrew learning preparation; connect them with alumni mentors • Build relationships with synagogues, Jewish organizations and campus partners; coordinate open houses and recruitment events • Travel outside Southern California approximately 2-3 times annually for recruitment • Design, launch and manage the Jewish Ideas Fellowship, recruiting and mentoring participants • Coordinate fellowship communications, marketing, website content and social media • Collect and report participant demographics, engagement and program outcomes • Maintain applicant records in ActiveCampaign and other recruitment systems Location: Based in Los Angeles, with an expectation of working on campus approximately 1-2 days per week. Fellowship responsibilities are conducted primarily via Zoom and telephone.
