Director of J&R Day Camp

Job description

The JCC of Greater Pittsburgh seeks a Director of J&R Day Camp to oversee all aspects of its flagship day camp — camper and staff recruitment, family engagement, staff development, daily programming and operations, facilities and budget management, and community partnerships. The Director also provides supervisory oversight to the JCC South Hills Day Camp Director. Responsibilities: • Lead the overall vision, culture, and daily operations of J&R Day Camp • Design and execute camper recruitment and family engagement and retention strategies • Recruit, train, supervise, and develop year-round and seasonal camp staff • Oversee operations, risk management (ACA standards), inclusion of neurodiverse campers, and the camp budget and fundraising Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Education, Recreation, Social Work, or a related field (advanced degree preferred) • At least 5 years of camp, youth development, or related program leadership, including direct staff supervision • ACA Camp leadership certification preferred; PA clearances, FBI clearance, Mandated Reporter training, and First Aid/CPR To Apply: Submit a resume and cover letter to JCC of Greater Pittsburgh, Attn: Human Resources, 5738 Forbes Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15217.
