Lead Educator - Infant, Tots, Toddler rooms - Squirrel Hill

The JCC of Greater Pittsburgh Early Childhood Development Center seeks a motivated Lead Educator for its Infant, Tots, and Toddler classrooms at the Squirrel Hill location. Knowledge of the Pennsylvania STARS program and the Reggio Emilia approach and constructivist social learning theory is helpful (or a willingness to learn). This is a Monday–Friday position requiring a flexible schedule, and a free health membership is included. Responsibilities: • Provide classroom oversight and implement the approved curriculum, preparing weekly lesson plans • Plan age-appropriate activities that encourage physical, social, and emotional growth • Maintain a safe and healthy environment and complete progress sheets and parent conferences • Interact daily with parents and supervise Assistant Educators and Aides Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education including 30 ECE credits • At least two years of experience working in a classroom with preschool-age children • PA Criminal History, Child Abuse, and FBI clearances; Mandated Reporter training; First Aid/CPR To Apply: Submit a resume and cover letter to JCC of Greater Pittsburgh, Attn: Human Resources, 5738 Forbes Avenue, Pittsburgh, PA 15217.
