Hannah Senesh Community Day School, a progressive, independent K–8 Jewish school in Carroll Gardens, Brooklyn, is hiring a Kindergarten Lead Teacher for the 2026–27 school year. The ideal candidate is a warm, nurturing, and reflective educator with strong early childhood teaching experience. Responsibilities: • Assume lead teaching responsibilities in a kindergarten classroom, collaborating closely with an associate teacher • Teach ELA, math, science, and social studies in alignment with the existing curriculum, differentiating for diverse learners • Support students' social-emotional development and maintain documentation of curriculum and progress • Partner with families and collaborate with grade-level colleagues, specialists, and support staff Qualifications: • MA degree in education preferred • Three or more years of experience as a lead teacher in an elementary or early childhood setting • Familiarity with structured literacy and Singapore Math preferred • Commitment to a whole-child approach, strong classroom management, and a collaborative, reflective practice Salary: $75,000–$90,000, commensurate with experience.
