Selfhelp seeks a Social Worker for its Queens affordable housing program to assess clients' needs and eligibility for in-home services, entitlements, and benefits, and to support community outreach efforts. Responsibilities: • Conduct intakes and provide information and referrals • Screen and assist clients with applications and re-certifications for entitlements and benefits • Assess clients in their home or other setting; develop, implement, and follow up on care plans • Provide supportive counseling and maintain accurate case notes in the program's data system • Facilitate social and recreational group activities and events Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree required; MSW strongly preferred • Must speak either Mandarin or Korean • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office; excellent communication and customer-service skills • Able to multitask and work independently with strong attention to detail Salary: $64,000–$66,400 per year, commensurate with experience. Note: Business office environment with travel via public transportation.
