Job description

Selfhelp seeks a Social Worker to provide casework services and advocate for clients in its Holocaust Survivor Program, serving survivors from the Former Soviet Union. Responsibilities: • Conduct intakes and provide information and referrals • Screen and assist clients with applications and re-certifications for entitlements and benefits • Assess clients in their home, hospital, or other setting; develop, implement, and follow up on care plans • Provide supportive counseling and maintain accurate case notes in the program's data system • Facilitate social and recreational group activities and events Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree required; MSW preferred • Bilingual Russian/English required • One year of related experience; working knowledge of Microsoft Office • Excellent communication and customer-service skills; able to multitask and work independently Salary: $64,000–$66,400 per year, commensurate with experience. Note: Business office environment with travel via public transportation; may work from home 2–3 days per week.
