Job description
The YM&YWHA of Washington Heights & Inwood seeks a part-time Coordinator of Teen and Young Adult Engagement to create and oversee programs engaging individuals from middle school through young adulthood, including preparing for programs held at Camp Twelve Trails. Approximately 10–15 hours per week; some evening and Sunday hours may be required. Responsibilities: • Develop activities and programs for participants from middle school through young adulthood, including Be Me and SONYC-funded activities • Plan and facilitate meetings, guest speakers, and special events for Youthbridge Upper Manhattan • Run quarterly "Open Mic" events and ongoing activities bringing together young adults across Northern Manhattan • Develop relationships with schools, Jewish organizations, and community organizations • Communicate regularly with families about program highlights; create and distribute marketing materials Qualifications: • Bachelor's degree preferred; Spanish language skills preferred • Experience in program design supporting middle school through young adult ages and facilitating inter-cultural dialogue • Proficient with Google Suite, MS Office, and social media • Must pass background check, medical tests, fingerprinting, and other pre-employment requirements Compensation: $30 per hour.
