Job description
BBYO seeks a Chapter Specialist to mentor Jewish teens (grades 8–12) in the Great Midwest Region's north-suburban Chicago chapters (Evanston and Wilmette), enhancing programming and engagement through data-driven coaching and mentorship. Part-time, 8–10 hours/week (August–May), with some nights and weekends required. Responsibilities: • Collaborate directly with teen leaders on dynamic programming and chapter calendars • Coach recruitment and retention strategies to build sustainable membership growth • Attend chapter meetings and events as the supervising adult mentor • Monitor attendance, engagement, and membership data to inform strategy • Develop relationships with members, parents, and community stakeholders • Participate in monthly professional development with peer specialists Qualifications: • Minimum three years post-high school • Must live near or commute reliably to the Evanston/Wilmette area; able to attend 2–4 chapter programs monthly • Self-directed, collaborative approach to youth engagement with excellent communication and organizational skills • BBYO background preferred but not required; unrestricted U.S. work authorization required Compensation: $21 per hour.
